Slaley Village Hall

November 2020 update

Phase 1  of our renovation is now complete! The new loos are in place and the storage area is now all on one level. We have a new super-efficient and environmentally friendly heating boiler installed and are ready for the winter and to welcome friends back to the hall in a Covid-safe environment.  We have even had the main hall decorated throughout so it all looks fresh, clean and welcoming.

Please see photos etc. at our website:

We are now moving on to Phase 2 . This will be  an exciting new annex on the east side of the building for use as a community space and will complement the larger, main hall.
Fundraising has been difficult this year, but we have had a car treasure hunt, a local lottery and hope that our cribs from around the world exhibition can take place in December

However, grants, fundraising and donations are still  needed and your help and ongoing support is very much appreciated.

Slaley Commemoration Hall is 100 years old.  For a century it has provided a wonderful facility for the village and beyond - be it dances,  exercise classes, film show and meetings for local business and organisations.
The hall was originally built by the Hunting family of Slaley Hall to commemorate the safe return of their sons at the end of the Great War.
