Slaley Village Hall

£100k for 100 years - 2020 update

2019 saw the Hall Trust launch its “£100k for 100 years” appeal to raise essential funds to keep the hall modern and attractive. We have raised almost £70,000 so far from donations, fundraising and grants.

We hoped to continue at a pace throughout 2020 but world wide massive events have overtaken us and we must  suspend activities to protect us and the wider community. Keep safe everyone and see you later in the year xx

Slaley Commemoration Hall is 100 years old.

For a century it has provided a wonderful facility for the village and beyond - be it dances,  exercise classes, film show and meetings for local business and organisations.

Now however, the grand old lady of the village needs a face lift!
A substantial refurbishment is needed to secure her future for her next century.
Its not sexy – it’s the drains, the loos and storage!
Or to be more precise, the extension where the toilets and storage is located needs to be rebuilt to address issues with the foundations, drains, roof  and damp.

Thank you to everyone who supported the sponsored walk and all the other events so far.
