Skydiving for Nana Jean – Supporting Alzheimer's Research UK
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I am taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life—a skydiving jump—in honor of my Nana Jean, the most incredible woman I have ever known.
My nana was one in a million—a woman full of warmth, kindness, and endless love. She had the most beautiful soul and a heart that shone brightly in the lives of everyone who knew her. She wasn’t just my nana; she was my rock, my safe place, and one of my greatest inspirations. Losing her left a hole in my heart that will never truly be filled, but her love, wisdom, and spirit remain with me every single day.
Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease. It slowly takes away the memories, the personality, and the independence of those we love. Watching my nana go through this battle was heartbreaking, and I felt helpless knowing there was nothing I could do to stop it. That’s why I want to do something now—to honor her memory and help others facing the same fight.
I am raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK, a charity that does incredible work supporting individuals and families affected by dementia. They provide essential care, guidance, and research, giving hope to so many people. Every single donation—no matter how big or small—will make a real difference in ensuring that no one has to face this journey alone.
This skydive isn’t just about facing my own fears; it’s about making a leap for my nana, for those living with Alzheimer’s, and for the families who are watching their loved ones slip away bit by bit. And I won’t be doing it alone! My good friend Glen will be jumping alongside me, showing their support for this incredible cause. Having them by my side makes this experience even more special, and together, we’re determined to make an impact.
If you knew my nana, you’d know she’d probably be laughing at me right now, saying, “You’re doing what?!”, but I know she’d also be incredibly proud.
Please, if you can, consider donating to this cause in honor of Nana Jean and everyone else affected by this devastating disease. Let’s keep fighting for a world where Alzheimer’s no longer steals the ones we love.
Thank you so much for your support—it truly means the world to me.
With love,
Gary xx
