Skydive for HGL

Hi! I’m Erin, I have recently moved to Australia but am raising money for Happy Go Lucky Theatrical, a group back home that means a lot to me by doing a skydive over Great Ocean Road.

Happy Go Lucky is an amateur dramatics group based in Chepstow. They formed in 2021 with the intention of helping people improve their confidence and their mental health after coming out of covid. They are a self funding group that rely on donations from the local community and carry out fundraisers at local events. Their aim is keep the costs to their members as low as possible so that their group is affordable to everyone and not just to those who can afford it. Their aim from 2025 onwards is to perform 3 shows a year to the local community, this year they are performing 3 shows they have written theirselves. The money they make from each show is used to fund the next show.

I have been at Happy Go Lucky since 2023 and can honestly say it has truly helped the community from what I have seen. They are so welcoming and friendly to all new members, and some I would even consider a second family. I have seen many people in our community join of all ages and really come out of their shells, which is so lovely to see as nowadays I feel around my town there isn’t many artistic or creative outlets around, especially that welcome those of all ages and have such a great cause behind them. Hence why in raising the money, I hope to be able to support them further as they really do deserve it.
