This September, Laura is taking on an incredible challenge: walking 500 miles in one month to raise funds for the Fiona Brady Foundation and help us spread skin cancer awareness across Northern Ireland.

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in Northern Ireland, yet too many people still underestimate the dangers of UV exposure, the importance of protecting their skin, and the need to get changes checked early.

The Fiona Brady Foundation was created in memory of Fiona Brady, who sadly passed away from skin cancer in January 2024, aged just 36. Following Fiona’s death, conversations with her family and partner, Gary, led to the creation of the Foundation as a way of honouring Fiona’s life while sharing her story and helping to prevent others from experiencing the same heartbreak.

Fiona’s story is at the heart of everything we do. Through awareness campaigns, education, events and conversations across Northern Ireland, we want to make sure people understand that skin cancer can affect anyone, at any age, and that early detection can make a life-changing difference.

Now Laura is helping us take that message even further by putting one foot in front of the other for 500 miles.
