Skate for Ukraine – In Memory of Mandi Gregory

As you probably know, this fundraiser was set up back in May by skating coach Maggie Barrow, and Romford skater Neil Midgley - to raise money for Poland Welcomes, the charity for Ukrainian refugees where Neil is currently working. It's Neil writing this update, on 13 July.

One person who helped us enormously with our fundraiser, at the rink in May, was Mandi Gregory. So we were heartbroken to hear of her sudden passing soon afterwards. In particular, our thoughts are with Mandi's husband Stephen, their son Louis who skates at Romford rink, and their daughter Tayler.

Stephen and the family have been incredibly kind, and suggested donations to Poland Welcomes in her memory.

I am writing from Poland, and all of the team here in Jaroslaw are incredibly touched by this act of generosity from the family at such a difficult time.

 

So we have reopened this GoFundMe. All the money that you donate here will go to Poland Welcomes, in Mandi's memory.

Huge thanks again to the Gregorys. We are thinking of you, and of your beloved Mandi - she will always have a very special place in our hearts, too.
