Skagit Attitudes of Gratitude

Just a few short days ago I was sitting down and reflecting on all things that have become our current reality. Now is the time that we will see people come together unlike any other movement, agenda or tragedy. I am so grateful for the people who are choosing to stay working because of the industry they have devoted their lives to. From medical personnel to sanitation workers. From grocery workers to truckers. And then my heart goes out to the local Skagit small business owners who are temporarily forced to close their doors and to the others that had their ability to service the public altered temporarily due to the current pandemic.  And then it hit me…..what if?...What if we collected donations to purchase goods/services offered by local Skagit small businesses and then gifted those goods/services in gratitude to those who are working on the "front lines" (and behind the scenes). Wouldn’t that be wonderful? A kindness loop! A win win situation! Where Community Comes Full Circle!Well, that was 48 hours ago. I called 2 amazing people I know here in the Valley and pitched them the idea. Indira and Megan. They jumped on board! Tonight, after several hours of brainstorming, phone calls, bank meetings and hoop jumping. We did it! The vision is a reality and we could not be more excited! We are a legit Association and ready to show gratitude on behalf of our community. All we need is YOU!We cannot wait to support local Skagit small businesses and show gratitude through their goods/services to those on the “front line” (and behind the scenes). We thank you in advance for your support and we can't wait to share with you how Skagit Attitudes of Gratitude can make a difference in our beautiful Skagit Valley. Where Community Comes Full Circle!
