Spring Thing needs your help this year!
As with many events that usually take place in the spring, Covid-19 has forced the community of St. John's United Church, Pointe-Claire, to cancel its annual Spring Thing Garage Sale, which has traditionally taken place every Mother's Day weekend for the last 47 years.
Many West Islanders and their families have enjoyed this event each year as it is a great opportunity for catching up with your neighbours while finding great deals on furniture, clothes, sports goods and plants for the garden.
The community of St. John’s United, which will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in the fall, depends on the revenue from this event for a significant portion of its annual budget.
We ask for your generosity in helping us keep the tradition alive!
Along with your much appreciated donation, please post any memories you have of past Spring Things! Any pictures of cherished items or personal interactions at the church as well as any anecdotes would be a welcome read!
