The Coalition of Chiliwist Residents and Friends has come together to stop a proposal to close the Three Devils Rd. by one of the state's largest landowners only  months after fire and flood ravaged the valley. Residents of Okanogan and Chiliwist Valleys use this historical road for a wide variety of recreational purposes. The road provides access to hundreds of acres of public land,  is part of the historic Chiliwist Trail used for over 3500 years, and provides an escape route for residents in the valley. We want to keep public roads public and to have access to public land. The group is raising money for attorney's fees to fight this closure and preserve the rights of all citizens to have access to public lands.
