The Sisterhood of the Sandwiches & The Dude
Donation protected
With a long history of working with local food banks and outreach programs, Michelle Cameron founded The Sisterhood of the Sandwiches and The Dude at the onset of the COVID crisis. As a lifelong resident of Miami Beach, Michelle first organized friends to collect items for the Iglesia Bautista Poder de Dios food pantry, and later to make sandwiches for the homeless on a weekly basis. The Sisterhood expanded their efforts during the holiday season preparing complete meals for families in the community.
Over the course of the last ten months Michelle has privately funded The Sisterhood at an expense of $250.00 a week. With this money volunteers are able to prepare 500 sandwiches per week, helping roughly 250 people at a time. As the COVID crisis continues and more community members find their circumstances changed, The Sisterhood of the Sandwiches and The Dude seek donations to continue their weekly effort to help feed the most vulnerable members of our community.
Your contribution goes directly to purchasing lunch meats, cheese, bread, drinks, condiments, napkins, sandwich bags, chips, fruit, and other snacks to make sandwiches on a weekly basis. Donations also go toward larger prepared meals for families including entrees, sides, salads, desserts, and drinks.
