Hello Everyone,

my name is Za’hair and I’m a single black trans father of a beautiful 31 month old daughter who is nonverbal, diagnosed with level 3 autism, and deaf in her left ear. I have always been a very independent person so asking is hard to do. But I have decided to reach out to my community for support as we navigate an incredibly difficult time.

Recently , my daughter and I were forced to move out of our apartment due to severe black mold issues. Since then , we’ve been struggling to find stable housing while I continue to to do everything I can to care for my baby. Between countless doctor’s appointments , therapy sessions and daily needs , it’s been nearly impossible to maintain consistent work as I work as a chef -especially sense she isn’t in daycare finding reliable sitters can be very hard. Even while facing homelessness, I still show up for work whenever possible and do my best to stay strong and positive for my baby. But this journey has truly tested my limits my faith and mental health. I’m humbly asking for help so we can get back on our feet and secure a safe , stable home. Any amount you can give will go directly towards housing , Relocation cost, and basic essentials needs for my daughter and me. Life as a single parent raising a disabled child isn’t easy , but your kindness and support would make a world of difference.
