Single Mother with Four Kids needs support

Hello, I am writing on behalf of a single mother and her four remaining children living in public housing in Washington, DC. I love this family dearly and continue to do everything I can to support Jackie and her beautiful children Tyry (14), Taylor (13), Talaiah (7) and Jai Sean (4).

I met Jackie when she worked for my company doing Covid Testing at a government event. Jackie was one of eighteen individuals hired to help at this high-stress and high-pressure event. She was always the first to arrive and the last to leave, as she willingly worked 12-15 hours a day, mostly on her feet. She rose to the occasion and stood out amongst the other individuals.

Jackie has largely been on her own since she was a young teen, desperately fending for herself and now her children, with very little to no support.

As Jackie continues to look for full-time employment, we are asking for support to help alleviate the pressures of everyday life, including current and past due bills, getting her car fixed so she has reliable transportation (it has been riddled with stray bullets more than once), provide warm clothing for the cold DC winter (they often lose heat and hot water in their home), and two of the kids suffer from severe asthma due to the water damage and mold in their home.

Jackie and her children have become magnificently bright lights in my everyday life...I didn't know I could say "I love you" so many times in one day! I stepped in and committed myself to this family, my new family, but I understand it truly takes a village.

Jackie's courage, strength, fortitude and resilience to relentlessly push forward in the face of impossible circumstances are as admirable as they are inspiring.

I hope you will find it in your heart to help this family with whatever you can during these challenging times, with the assurance that Jackie is working hard every day to elevate past her current circumstance. I know abundant love and appreciation will ring loudly from their hearts for any support they receive.
