Help My Mom Get Back On Her Feet

Hi, my name is Kiara & I’m writing this in hopes to get my mom some help. I live with her, my brother, and my baby (her granddaughter) & I am not working at the moment due to not having reliable childcare. I get cash aid, but it is only enough to help with a few hundred each month, and the rest of it goes towards necessities for my baby and myself.

My mother, who is 60 years old, works two jobs to try to stay on top of the bills and has been renting the same house for over 20 years. She is very behind on bills and is struggling to get caught up. Every month she lives paycheck to paycheck, and it is still not enough.

We are behind on rent this month by $700, the water company is owed about $400, she needs to get her truck repaired to get back and forth to work. She needs to pay electric, trash, rent, water, PO Box, and on top of that, needs to get her truck fixed, pay the registration on her truck, pay her insurance, and get her truck smogged. She is drowning in bills & I feel so helpless for not being able to help out the woman who took care of me my whole life, more.

I just want to help her get caught up on bills. It is very hard to see my mother struggling and stressing out about the bills every day. She raised myself and my brother by herself with no help. She’s been a single mother all my life, and she has managed to keep us fed and roofs over our heads our whole lives, even as adults. Her love is never-ending, and she goes to great lengths to make sure we have a place to live.

I just had my baby last December, and will be moving out on my own in July, and I won’t be able to afford to help with her bills at all anymore, so I’d love to try to get her caught up before I move out.

She has tried getting loans with no luck and works 6-7 days a week with hardly any time off, which I know is very tiring, especially at the age of 60. She is so tired from working all the time. I wish she was able to retire, and I hope one day I can afford to take care of her, but at the moment, we need your help. Anything would be greatly appreciated and would be a huge blessing.
