A coworker (who we won't name for her privacy) is an amazing human being. She will give the shirt off her back to anyone even when she doesn't have a shirt to give you. She's now a newly single mom with four small boys aged 11, 10, 6, and 2. She has left an abusive spouse and our legal system is not the help that one would hope. This poor woman who at times has worked 3 jobs to support her family was not given her home, or her belongings or her car to keep. Instead the abuser gets all of those things. Her parents have both passed away and she has no other family to rely on. Her work friends are her family and because of that we need to help her however we can. We know we're looking to raise a lot of money. We hope that what we can provide is a reliable van to transport everyone (they're not a small bunch), several months of paid ahead rent and paid ahead daycare, so that she can just get on her feet. This isn't someone who milks the system and sits around. This is an incredibly kind, selfless, and hardworking woman who needs people around her to support her and help.
