Hi, my name is Brittany, and I'm a single mom doing my best to provide for my two kids (2, and 14) and our dog. I work full-time, but no matter how hard I try, my income just isn't enough to keep us afloat right now.
We've recently received notice that we have to leave our current home, and I only have a couple of months to find a new place for my family. I've been searching everywhere, but with no available Section 8 housing and waitlists that stretch for years, my only option is to try and move into a low-income apartment. I’ve found a few one-bedroom possibilities, but I need help covering the upfront costs—first and last month’s rent, a security deposit, and utilities.
I hate asking for help. I’ve always tried to do everything on my own. But right now, I’m at rock bottom, and I’m scared. A few months isn’t enough to save anything when you’re living paycheck to paycheck. Without some help, we may not have a place to go.
Anything you can give—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page—means the world to me. Every bit brings us one step closer to staying safe and together.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
