My name is Nilda and I’m trying to raise money for my daughter in laws, single mom, Lupita and her daughters, Claire 18 and Isis 12 who were evicted a week ago from a garage that they were renting the past four months at $1100 month. This garage was being subleased illegally by the tenants that lived in the front house. The garage was not up to code or habitable but the family was desperate and needed a home. (They had resided in an apartment for the past 8 years, however, they were kicked out when new owner took over and began remodeling the apartments..... a lot of tenants were displaced like her 5 months ago.)
Lupita is a hard working single mom who is the sole provider. She has worked up to three jobs at once, she works in the restaurant business, so during this pandemic, unfortunately, she has lost her job. She was not able to pay the rent and asked if she can pay minimal payments while she tries looking for another job, but the Tenants in the front home refused to accept anything less than the $1100.
So, for now, they have temporarily found a place but still need money to help pay for essentials and utilities. Anything you can donate will really help them out. If we can raise $2500, that can help them for couple of months. I’m blessed to still have a job, so I’m helping as much as I can but I need your help too. I was able to make Isis an Easter basket, because I know, during these hard times, a little basket of goodies, can help her forget what  she and her mom and sisters are dealing with.
