Single father of 4 loses everything in house fire

Hi, my name is Soyika (everyone calls me Jay) and I am fundraising to help replace all the things that me and my 4 children lost in an unexpected house fire. For those who know me personally know how much I dedicate my life to my children. I have 3 daughters that I have full custody of. My oldest Layla who is 15. My middle daughter Nayomi who is 14 and my youngest daughter Cydnee who is 11 going on 12 in May. I also have a 6 year old son, Kayden, that I share custody for but lives with me for school. On the morning of March 10th I received a phone call from my neighbors telling me that my home was on fire. Thankfully me and my children were not in the house at the time but sadly our cat (Maple) was. Unfortunately she did not make it. I live alone with my 4 children and even though we don’t have everything we do appreciate what we had. It’s not easy being a single father and my kids give me the strength to get up everyday and do what I have to do to provide. I rushed to the house as fast as I could and I was in complete shock to find it completely gone. Everything that we owned was destroyed. It broke my heart to have to tell them that we have to find a new place to live because we have only been living in the home for 3 years and we were finally at the point of truly being settled in. I loved my neighbors and the neighborhood. My landlord was AMAZING and very patient with me during tough months for the rent. My kids made some great friends in the neighborhood. We struggled in the past when my home was foreclosed but we stayed strong and it felt good to have some normalcy back in our lives and now we are starting over again.
