I'm creating this Go Fund Me for my longtime friend and former co-worker Mark Wieczorek. I've known Mark for over 25 years. He is always looking out for others and helping whoever asks him. Now, Mark needs help.
A Father’s Fight to Keep His Kids Safe
Mark is a single dad who has lost everything—his job, his home, and his marriage. Now, he and his three young children are facing the unthinkable: they’re out of time at the only shelter that would take them in, and they have nowhere else to go.
From Vice President to Rock Bottom
Mark once held a Vice President role at a financial services company, working on a Department of Education contract. When that contract ended, so did his job as collateral damage from COVID.
The sudden loss of income pushed him and his family into a crisis that lead to a divorce, then homelessness. With help from dear friends, he was able to continue coaching and doing as much for the kids as he could.
He didn’t give up. Mark took a job at Verizon to get some money flowing in—anything to keep trying. He continues to actively job-hunt doing all he can to support his children.
Why We’re Raising Money
Mark and his kids need immediate help securing a safe, stable place to live. The funds will go toward:
Temporary housing
Food and essentials for the kids
Transportation and job search expenses
