Hello, my name is Lorene Garofalo, I am the Aunt of Captain Nicholas G Simpson, a United States Army Veteran and West Point Military Academy Graduate.

Nicholas served 2 tours of duty as a tank commander in the Iraq War. "Iraqi Freedom" He devoted 13 years of his life to the United States of America.

On 11/27/23 my nephew Nick passed away unexpectedly, as a result of a long battle with PTSD from the war.

Nick was married to Abby Simpson and has 3 children, Mason (9) Addison (7) and Sam (4).

This GoFundMe is important to me for my nephew's kids future, and because amazingly, I have had countless family, friends and strangers ask me "Is there anything can we do?" My answer is YES! Any sum will help!

This fund will help Abby and the children tremendously, as they struggle emotionally and financially.

I chose the Christmas picture of Nick, his wife Abby, his 3 children, his parents Donna and George and sister Tiffany, because they are the people he loved so dearly. Nick often told people his upbringing felt like "Every day was Christmas"
