The Simon family lost a loving wife and beautiful mother to breast cancer on January 24th, 2023, leaving a void in the hearts of so many.
Kristen was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2022. She put on a brave face and started her fight. As a family of 5, Kristen was the heart of her family. She and her husband Scott charged forward together. Her positive mindset and determination carried her through a tough battle with cancer. Through it all, Kristen never gave up hope or gave in to fear. She was a fighter who focused on health and positivity.
Additionally, Kristen was a beloved teacher in the Ken-Ton school district. She was passionate, dynamic, and dedicated to her profession with an unwavering commitment to her students and a love for learning that had a far-reaching impact.
Kristen also enjoyed working as a Pilates instructor at BeMoved fitness. Inspiring all of those around her, she taught so many about nutrition, mindfulness, and fitness. Her light will continue to be felt by all of those who came across her path.
Scott and Kristen built a beautiful life together and had so many hopes and dreams for the future. In a beautiful tribute to Kristen, Scott wrote, " You can now fly high with your mom and look down on us and give us strength to continue on, knowing you will forever be with us. My promise to you is that I will be the best father I can and make sure Nick, Lauren, and Noah have the happiest lives possible."
Funds raised will support Kristen's family, including her three amazing children Nick, Lauren, and Noah, as they begin to navigate life without their loving mom. Nick, a senior in high school, loves to play hockey with the Niagara Wheatfield Falcons and is exploring opportunities beyond high school. Lauren, a dedicated cheerleader, travels often for her sport and enjoys spending time with her friends. At three years of age, Noah is the youngest in the Simon family. He is an energetic, playful, and happy little guy who is being cared for by family, friends and his loving daycare provider.
Thank you so much to everyone for supporting our beautiful friend and her family.
