Siloam 256 - Skills for the deaf in Uganda

Our names are Blessing and Jannat, and we are excited to announce that we will be running the Crystal Palace 5K RUN with RunThrough on the 27th October!! We are in no way shape or form runners but saw a great cause for it and thought WHY NOT?!

THE CAUSE:

Vanessa Nakitende is the founder of SIloam256. Vanessa is a determined woman who saw a need for the deaf community in Uganda and did not hesitate to fulfil that need.

Let me tell you a little about Siloam256. They are a charity whose vision is to create a society in Uganda where young people who are deaf and hard of hearing are included and have equal opportunities to succeed. They are dedicated to empowering them by equipping them with vocational skills, showcasing their successes, and fostering financial independence and entrepreneurship. They strive to build a community that recognises and respects young deaf people’s unique abilities, empowering them to reach their full potential and become active contributors to society.
