Signe's triathlon for 'The Weekend Club'

For those of you that know me, you know that I am not naturally athletic but love a challenge and a worthy cause, that is why I have decided to race in the Mid Argyll Triathlon in September in aid of 'The Weekend Club'.

They're a charity that aims to welcome refugees into Glasgow by tackling their isolation and aids integration by working with a team of volunteers to organise free monthly events for refugees and asylum seekers. These events are designed to help people from refugee backgrounds build social connections, enjoy fun activities and a good meal, get to know Glasgow and Scotland better, and practise their English informally. To ensure that cost is not a barrier to participation, travel expenses are always reimbursed to participants and a hot lunch is served.

The Weekend Club is a programme of the charity Interfaith Glasgow. All donations to this fundraiser will go directly to the Weekend Club project
