Sibling Welfare and Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
As I’m sure most of you know, my mom, Johanna Holland, passed away on 01/29/2023. She was the most amazing mother my siblings and I could have ever asked for. In 2020 my parents split and she was later diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. Throughout these three years she was the sole caretaker of my three younger siblings, whilst going in and out of different chemo treatments. She was continuously cleaning, cooking, gardening, and taking care of my siblings no matter how weak she felt. My dad who lives on maui has recently been in hood river Oregon where my siblings and mom lived, helping with all the logistical stuff that comes along with this sort of situation, but he will not be here permanently. My three siblings, Kaiana (19), Nainoa (16), and Alina (12), have built a great friend group here and a huge passion and skill set for snow sports. I’m sure you can understand now they are not particularly keen on moving back to Maui. I feel that their close friends and living location are a huge part of shaping them into the amazing young adults that they will become. I am setting up this gofundme primarily to support my siblings welfare, hoping to help them with shelter, food, vehicles, etc… at least until we can find a more permanent solution. Along with this there are funeral expenses and any necessary debts that were left with our mothers passing. I appreciate everyone’s heartfelt condolences and loving messages in these tough times. We’re staying strong. As much as it hurts, we know that she is in a better place now. In the end hard times only make you stronger. ❤️
