SHYLO when she was first rescued
This money is to help a dear friend, Doreen, (who is a senior citizen living on a very fixed income), pay for an expensive surgery for one of her fur baby's that has a torn cruciate in her leg and needs surgery next week. On top of her fur baby needing surgery, Doreen has also had surgery recently and is having a hard enough time taking care of herself, not to mention the stress that she is going thru thinking of a way to pay for this surgery. Doreen has donated countless hours to her local SPCA and has always been willing to help anyone and any animal in anyway that she can. She does not do any of it for the accolades, she does it all because that is just the type of caring person that she is.
Four and a half years ago, while volunteering at the local SPCA garage sale, a 3 day old puppy was brought in after being shunned by her mother. Doreen didn't even hesitate when asked if she would be able to help foster and care for baby Shylo. From that day on Doreen bottle fed and nursed Shylo to the healthy dog that she is today. And "failing" as a foster mom, Doreen fell in love with this precious baby that she nursed and kept alive, and they have been with each other ever since. Many think that Doreen was Shylo's blessing, but Doreen feels that Shylo was hers. They both ended up giving each other the will to live. So now at only 4 1/2 years old, it breaks Doreen's heart to see Shylo suffering, yet she is stressed to no end on how she can afford Shylo's surgery.
So if you are able to donate any amount, no amount is too small, to help us pay for Shylo's surgery and help our friend Doreen in her time of need, it would be greatly appreciated. Your money would be going to a loving beautiful lady that has helped so many animals out of the kindness of her heart, no matter how tired or sick she is, without any hesitation.
