I am Antonia, and I’m working to convert a 1999 Thor Industries Shuttle Bus built on a Ford chassis into a rescue vehicle for trans and gender diverse people who are impacted by societal violence. This shuttle will serve as a lifeline, transporting individuals from hostile areas to safer places along the I-10 and I-40 corridor. The ability to tow is critical—not only for rescue operations, but also for hauling construction materials needed to build an off-grid homestead that will function as a retreat and respite for those in need. My hope is to create a safe haven where anyone seeking escape from a bad situation can find support, shelter, and community.

The funds raised will go directly toward finishing the shuttle conversion. This includes materials, inclusions, systems, and structural work to make the vehicle fully functional for both rescue and homestead support. Any extra funds will help with the larger homestead project, ensuring that the retreat is ready to welcome those who need it most.
