About Us

The Shri Maha Kali Ammaa Mandir Hindu Association is a unique and beloved spiritual home in Brampton, Ontario — the first of its kind in Canada. Since our founding in 2001 by Pujarie Dudnaught Singh, a devoted student of Pujarie Basdeo Mangal, we have served as a sacred house of worship, spiritual connection, and cultural heritage for hundreds of families and devotees.

We are an Ontario-recognized non-profit and a federally registered charity organization, sustained by the devotion and generosity of our community. Our mission is to deepen understanding of Hindu culture and spirituality through worship, prayer, rituals, chanting, scripture study, and community connection.

Why We’re Fundraising

We are embarking on an important next chapter: developing land for a new, purpose-built temple that will serve generations of worshippers, families, and seekers. This new temple — end project planned to be approximately 10,000 square feet — will be a sacred space dedicated to Maha Kali Ammaa, as well as a community hub for cultural, spiritual, and educational activities.

This project represents more than bricks and mortar — it’s about preserving and growing our cultural and spiritual heritage, giving devotees a permanent home for devotion, healing, festivals, and community support.
