Update:
(1/24) All has returned. Please pray the next doctor can find relief for her.

(1/23) Blood patch complete and head ache free. Hoping to continue to see relief of her symptoms.

(1/22)- Kris is another spinal leak lower down on her spine. They will be doing a blood patch to hopefully stop it.
(1/21)
CT was done today... the neck area is stable & they don't see any new CSF fluid, but she is still in a lot of pain when sitting/standing. The surgeon thinks that there may be another leak lower down that they didn't catch - he wants to order another MRI & then do a blood patch. He's hoping that it will fix the problem or at least give me some temporary relief. If that doesn't work, they want to start over with the lumbar drain & Mylograph..... he also offered to let me leave to find a second opinion...... so that the blood patch works

(1/18) Recent CT scan comparisons of the fluid in the spine showed no new leaks, which is a good sign. The setbacks Kris has been experiencing, double vision and headaches, have been caused by increase pressure in her head. Unfortunately this is concerning and will be further monitored. There is still no end date to her hospital stay so please continue thinking of her.

(1/15) Kris is back on full bedrest. Her symptoms are increasing in intensity and more CTs have been ordered. Please keep her in your prayers

(1/14) Fluid is improving. The neckbrace is now allowed to come off for quick SHOWERS! It's the little things in life that matter the most. It is still an adjustment getting vertical (double vision, headaches) and that will hopefully minimize with time. Next step is a rehab facility. It is a slow process but it is moving in the right direction. Pray to help keep things moving forward!!!

(1/11) Fluid build up is down. Monday is going to be big day to see if all the fluid in her neck is GONE. This is one huge step to getting home to recover in the comfort of home. Baby steps but progress is something all of your prayers are helping with! Thank you everyone!

(1/10) out of the ICU but still battling pain management and some secondary things. Continue to pray.

(1/8) Kris is out of surgery and will spend a few days in the ICU so doctors can monitor her neck and spinal cord. Please pray for some peace while she continues to recover.

Kris Buchan recently faced an unexpected medical emergency that required surgery. One day she wakes up with a killer headache followed by a pretty intense surgery in her neck for a spinal cord leak. As she embarks on her challenging recovery journey, she will need months of physical therapy and a couple weeks hospital stay. Kris has always been devoted to helping those in need, and now she finds herself in a position where she could use our support. As a loving mother of two, the financial strain of day-to-day expenses during her recovery is overwhelming. Let's come together to support Kris and Chad during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping them through this challenging period. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. The Buchans give and it is time to give back to them.
