Hi all, 
As you may or may not know, our close friend Ed is currently in the process of beating stage 3 colon cancer through chemotherapy. If you were unaware, please understand that it's primarily because Ed is the type that doesn't want people to feel bothered and never wants to feel like a burden in any way (despite the fact that I strongly reinforced to him him that he is never any of those things). Rest assured Ed is staying strong, positive,  and confident that he will beat it. However, because he's taking some time off of work during his treatments, it means that funds will not be coming in as much as they were if he had not taken this time off. This is also difficult when considering added costs we may not normally consider including trips to the hospital and paying for parking and added grocery costs.
It's why I think it's important to show him support by helping him alleviate any financial burdens he may have during this time so that he can focus on his health.
Ed is an amazing friend to all of us and I know that he's always there to offer his help, so let's show him that we can support him as well.
