Show your support for Josh Holbrook

Hi, my name is Jamie Holbrook (Josh's dad) and I am putting this fundraising page together for Josh as I have had a number of friends and members from both Caloundra Golf Club and Headland Golf Club asking me what Josh is up to and if we are we doing a fundraising day or something to show our support for him?

For those of you that don’t know, Josh was a junior at Headland Golf Club before he started his PGA Membership Pathway Program in 2022 at Headland Golf Club under the guidance of Adam Norlander and then he transferred across to Caloundra Golf Club under the guidance of Tom Arnott.

In 2024, Josh graduated in the Top 5 in his final year which earnt him players status for the coming 2025 season to play in most of the events on the Australasian Tour and he officially received his Full Vocational Membership with the PGA of Australia in March of this year which was an amazing honour, privilege and achievement within itself!

Josh now has a big 12 months of travel and golf ahead with the goal being to compete in as many events on the Australasian Tour as possible and currently he is in WA playing on the WPGA Tour for the next few weeks and then he will have a short break before heading over to the USA to compete and play in the PGA TOUR Americas Q-School at USA West – Soboba Springs GC from the 3rd June – 6th June and the goal here is to finish top 11 which would see him earn a spot on Segment II of their season and this would certainly open up some doors!

For anyone that knows Josh and has watched him grow, you will understand his dedication and passion as he is extremely focused on his craft and like those closest to him, he also absolutely believes that he belongs ‘inside the ropes’ of this great game which hopefully one day soon will see him compete and play alongside some of his idols and other best players in the world.

Like most parents who have a son or daughter with aspirations of achieving something great, it generally is largely funded by the bank of mum and dad where possible as flights, car hire, accommodation, PGA fees etc and general day to day living expenses quickly all add up.

Again, this fundraising page is in response to those of you that have asked how you can show your support to Josh and his future so any support would be much appreciated and we will be looking at putting on a golf day / lunch throughout the year so that Josh can share how his journey is tracking with you all and he will also be talking about what the future is looking like at that point in time so I will keep you all posted on dates etc. for this later in the year.

Finally, a massive thank you to anyone that has helped shape Josh not only as a golfer but more importantly as a young man with good morals so that he can continue to be a good person.
