TechnipFMC Family,
You might not know Lamesha by name, but when you see her picture, you will recognize her smile from the S01 Grill.
For the last 11 years, Lamesha has focused on a career in the food service industry. She’s worked with Guckenheimer at our campus for the previous year.
Lamesha is a survivor. When Lamesha was four, her mother died, and she remained in foster care until she finished high school.
Due to Lamesha’s extensive work schedule, her eight-year-old son, Logan, who is autistic, lives with her sister during the week. Logan and Lamesha spend their weekends together at her apartment, where they sleep on air mattresses.
Lamesha learned about Habitat for Humanity (HfH) in early 2022 and made it her goal to have her own home. To earn a home from Habitat for Humanity, she had to fulfill 200 volunteer hours building houses, working at the HfH ReStore, and educating others interested in owning their own homes. Lamesha is also responsible for her closing costs. Since July, Lamesha has worked every Saturday to complete her volunteer hours. She completed her 200th hour TODAY, January 6th, 2023, and she could have her new home in two weeks.
Here is why I'm sending this email. I want to ask that we help Lamesha with the $2500 closing costs and help her to furnish her new home at least with some beds and window blinds. I've connected with Guckenheimer leadership and informed them of our intent, and they, too, are supporting lamesha.
I want to thank Brandi Peasley for coordinating this effort and the support team: (Lynn Pankratz, Sabrina Gomez, Brandi Peasley, Gayla Massengale, Daniel Vercher, and Tai Prince)
