Hello D2 Moto Family and Friends
We are reaching out as one of our fellow D2 moto families is going through the unimaginable right now. Some of you might know the Dessicino Family. Joseph is 777 out on the track pouring his heart out racing in the 50 class. Joseph is the oldest of 4. His younger sister Aurora was recently diagnosed with a rare lung disease.Doctors diagnosed Aurora with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), rare and progressive condition that affects the arteries in her lungs and the right side of her heart. On top of that, they discovered she carries a BMPR2 gene mutation, making her case even more complex, aggressive, and life threatening. She is currently in CHOP where she will be for at least another month. There is hope: a newly FDA-approved medication called Winrevair, which specifically targets the BMPR2 pathway, could be life-changing for Aurora. It offers a real chance at stabilizing her condition—but it comes at an overwhelming cost.
We would love to show them the love and support from our moto community. This will help lessen the burden and stress on them ranging from traveling to and from the hospital or paying a bill relating to the ongoing medical care. This would also allow them to spend more time as a family. They do not know what the future holds for them and it’s day by day at this point but we can help by showing them they have so many people that care
They are a great family and would help anyone. They are leaving up to god and trusting in their faith. So please say prayer for the Dessicino family and keep them in your thoughts.
This a post Joe posted on his Facebook about Aurora:
Our most precious baby girl has been diagnosed with a super rare lung disease. She was a perfectly healthy child with almost zero health issues other than pneumonia two years ago. She is fighting for her life at chop right now. Our family was fully caught off guard with this diagnosis. We are putting our full faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that he will provide us with a miracle, and restore Aurora’s health. I felt the need to put this out here so the people In our lives aren’t confused when they see her name pop up on their Facebook feed. We are on a long journey, and are completely leaning on Christ to get us through this disaster. Please pray for our baby girl! She is strong in her faith, and I know god has a plan for her sweet soul. May God bless Aurora Rose Dessicino, and all sick children around the world.
So let’s show the Dessicino family the support from their D2 family and friends.
