To know Dube and Laura is to love them. I am Dube's cousin, and over the years, I have always found a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and a couch (broken futon) to crash on with them. Whenever I was on South Broadway all I had to do was ask the locals where Dube and Laura were at! They are well-known and loved by the community.

For the past 19 years, they have been soulmates and partners, embodying love, strength, and unwavering commitment. They have been pillars in their community, always ready to share a meal, a place to crash, and a helping hand to those in need. Now, they need our help.

Dube is bravely facing the final stages of her illness. Laura, her devoted wife, has been by her bedside, providing constant care while also trying to manage her job. The emotional and physical toll on Laura is immense, and the financial burden continues to grow with mounting medical bills and eventual end-of-life costs.
