Asalaamualaikum sisters! It’s Saleha here, I want to raise money for our dear new Muslim sister, Kristen. Many of you met her at Shannon’s book gathering.

Kristen is a single mother of a teenage daughter, and an adorable toddler. She’s an extremely hard worker, and helps her parents out as much as she can. She is a veterinary technician, who was recently injured on the job. A large erratic dog knocked her down and her back was severely hurt. She’s currently been surviving off workers comp. I’m reaching out in hopes of raising $1,000 because her sole bathroom, is out of commission. She’s been quoted $500 for shower repairs, and $200 for the toilet, she’s also dealing with damaged tires, and that would cost another $300. Her teen is really upset about not being able to shower at home, as we can all imagine. Becoming muslim and aware of the ablution processes, a functioning toilet is a must. These aren’t luxuries they’re necessities. Shes completely unaware that I’m doing this for her, but please let’s show her what this ummah and sisterhood is really about! This is her first year not celebrating Xmas, and just making so many changes, let’s make things easier and more beautiful for her! Inshallah, Jazak allahu khairan.
