Show God’s Love to Reynaldo, a Homeless Elder in Need

Hi, my name is Katelyn Boada , and I’m a proud member of Vous Church, a community built on love, service, and the belief that small acts of kindness can change lives.

This past Saturday, during our “I Love My City” outreach event, one of our incredible servant leaders, Jayson Vasquez, stepped up in a powerful way. While serving in the community, Jayson met Reynaldo, a kind and gentle older man who is currently experiencing homelessness. Moved by Reynaldo’s story and touched by his heart of gold, Jayson made a selfless decision, to personally care for Reynaldo for an entire month.

Jayson is providing him with meals, clean clothes, trips to the barbershop, and most importantly, dignity and friendship. He even plans to bring Reynaldo to church, not just to attend a service, but to experience community, hope, and the love of God in a tangible way.

Jayson shared with us that he felt called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Reynaldo’s life, to not just say “God loves you,” but to show it through action. His compassion has sparked something in all of us. We believe this is just the beginning of something beautiful in Reynaldo’s life, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
