Support an Israeli Filmmaker: Help Us Bring Shoval Tshuva to USC
We need your support to make this vital event possible on April 30th. Please consider donating to help us host Israeli filmmaker Shoval Tshuva for a powerful film screening and discussion of Funky, a short film by the filmmaker that shares her personal story of surviving sexual assault.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. In partnership with the Human Rights Clinic, the Jewish Student Affinity Group at the Health Sciences Campus, and the Jewish Student Affinity Group within the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, we invite you to a deeply meaningful event. Together, we will engage in important conversations following a special screening of Funky. This event comes at a critical moment as Jewish and Israeli survivors of sexual violence have been met not with solidarity—but with silence, denial, and erasure. Shoval’s film had been celebrated at festivals around the world—until she and other Israeli filmmakers were suddenly canceled. Meanwhile, antisemitism is rising on campuses, and Jewish students fear speaking out about their own assaults.
We’re creating a space where truth is honored, healing is possible, and silence is broken—but we can’t do it without you.
