Hi! We are the Shotton Walkers Community Fundraising Team.

We support our local community throughout the year by holding various fundraising events. Our fundraising ensures we can provide free Santa visits to children in their own homes at Christmas, where each child receives a gift at no cost to the families. More recently, we have donated much needed toiletries to our local DASU and provided a local children's football team with training kits.

We also support the ever expanding local community needs including, food banks, local mental health organisations and families who desperately need help.

Our walk this year will take us in a loop from Shotton through to Chester and back.

The walk will involve the Shotton Walkers team, as well as members of the community, who are invited to join us at any point in the walk.

Starting at 10.30am on Saturday 26th September 2026 from Hendys (Castle Inn) CH5 1HL and returning back approx 7pm to celebrate such an achievement from all our walkers. The walk is specifically designed for all ages and abilities across the flat loop tracking the River Dee and walls of Chester.
