Short-term hospital mission in Zambia

Donation protected
Hi I’m Rachel, a fourth year medical student studying at the University of Glasgow.

This summer I have been given the opportunity to volunteer at Mukinge Hospital, Zambia as part of my 4-week medical elective, in conjunction with the organisation "Serving in Mission (SIM)" (https://sim.co.uk).

This has been on my heart for a long time and I would appreciate any help with fundraising the costs for this mission. Any funds will go towards travel, accommodation, permits, and insurance.

Mukinge Hospital serves the rural community of Kasempa, in Zambia, providing quality health care services alongside spiritual ministry. This is with the view of addressing both physical and spiritual needs of the community, with serving God at its heart.

While I’m out there, I will be working alongside the doctors, assisting on ward rounds and procedures, and gaining vital experience in the mission field by helping out in the local church and other ministry opportunities.

Some fundraising ideas are still being finalised, but I will keep my progress updated.

Thank you for your support,

Rachel
