My name is Sophia. I am 13 years old, turning fourteen in two weeks. Me, my mom, sister, and dog will all be homeless in a week (September 15th)and lose everything we own. My dad, this summer, cheated on my mom, divorced her, broke several marital laws, and has done so many horrible things to my mother. My mom was financially dependent on my father, and he controlled all the finances and wouldn’t let her touch a thing. My mom has been trying to get a job for three months every single day and has had no luck. Even with the court-ordered money my father is obligated to pay, he has not paid any of it. He gets to live a happy life with his new girlfriend and family while doing horrible things, while my mother suffers after doing nothing. We have nobody and are on our own, and my grandma, who we are currently living with, doesn’t care that we are gonna be in the streets. While my sister might have to stay with my father every weekend, she screams and cries because she doesn’t want to go with him. He is a whole new person and a terrible one, and I don’t want her suffering there. But please, we just need to get an apartment to stay in. I don’t wanna lose everything I own and sleep on the road. It’s so disgusting everything that’s happened and how the victims are the ones suffering. So please, if you could donate just one dollar, it would help us immensely.
