Shirley Raines, Beauty 2 the Streetz

After the death of her young son, Shirley Raines spiraled into despair before she found promise and fulfillment serving those in need. Raines started Beauty 2 the Streetz to offer the homeless on Skid Row in Los Angeles a chance to look in the mirror and see something in themselves other than homelessness.

Since 2017, Raines has provided food, clothing, hair and makeup services -- and most recently wellness, hygiene and safety items -- to thousands of homeless people living on Skid Row.
