Men’s mental health is often overlooked, underfunded, and misunderstood. Too many men are taught to push through, stay silent, or carry everything alone—until one day they find themselves at a breaking point with no idea where to turn.

The Men’s Resource Center of West Michigan was that place for me when I was at my lowest.

During my divorce and through multiple rock-bottom moments, this organization helped me in ways I never imagined possible. They didn’t just offer support—they gave me tools. They helped me rewire my thinking, learn how to process pain in a healthy way, and slowly rebuild a more positive and grounded outlook on life. When everything felt overwhelming and uncertain, they provided clarity, structure, and hope.

If it weren’t for the Men’s Resource Center, I honestly don’t know if I would be my full self today. I don’t know if I would be the father I’m able to be, or the person who can show up for himself—let alone for others—every single day. And showing up, even when it’s hard, is a big part of who I am.

There simply aren’t enough resources available for men who are struggling, especially during life-altering events like divorce, loss, or deep personal crisis. This organization meets men where they are—without judgment—and helps them move forward, even when the path feels impossible to see.

I’m still in the process. Healing isn’t linear, and it’s not easy. But the more we talk openly, share our stories, and choose vulnerability over silence, the more people we can help before they feel completely alone.

That’s why I’m raising funds for the Men’s Resource Center. These resources deserve to be recognized, supported, and expanded so more men can experience the same lifeline I did—especially during the holiday season, when isolation and hopelessness can feel even heavier.

This fundraiser is my way of giving back, especially following my birthday week. If you’re able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. If not, simply taking the time to read this and share means more than you know.

No one should have to navigate the lowest moments of their life alone—and thanks to this organization, they don’t have to
