Shift Meal Project
Donation protected
Bistro 63 in Amherst is providing free meals to service industry workers (restaurants, cafes, and bars) of Western Massachusetts who have been affected by the Covid-19 shutdown. The shutdown has forced businesses to halt on-premise services and thousands of workers in the valley have lost their jobs or have severely reduced hours. If you have ever worked at a restaurant, you have grown fond of and/or become dependent on shift meals. Starting on Thursday, March 26th, Bistro 63 will be preparing and serving these meals for curbside pick-up, for free.
We need your support to continue doing this and grow the number of meals we can produce per week for this project. Currently, we are able to provide 30 individually packed meals, twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays (30/day). Many of our friends and community members have come forward with food from their farms or donations. All funds collected here will go towards food and prep costs for the program. Donations will allow us to increase the number of meals we can make and thus serve to all the industry folks that are struggling right now. Please donate what you can and/or spread the word!
