She’s in the Fight of Her Life—And She’s Fighting Alone

Donation protected
Hi there! My name is Kylie, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my mom—a woman who has faced more pain, loss, and hardship than most could ever imagine, and yet continues to fight every day for her family.

My mom is a single mother of three, a 28-year-old with special needs, me, a 22-year-old who lives two hours away and does not have the financial means to help, and a 13-year-old who has had to grow up faster than they should. She has spent her life giving to others. My entire life I saw my mom putting everyone around her first. She has very rarely ever asked for help from anyone. But now she’s the one who desperately needs support.

She is facing foreclosure on our family home. If she loses the house, she loses everything. Our family will be homeless and living in shelters because she does not have the financial means to relocate unless she sells her property...fast.

She has been battling multiple serious health conditions, including congestive heart failure, ATTR-CM (transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy)—a rare and life-threatening genetic heart condition, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), chronic respiratory failure with hypoxia, multiple forms of degenerative arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, and the list can go on.

Despite all this, she has tried to stay strong for her kids. But things have only gotten harder.

Several years ago, we lost my stepdad—her husband—to suicide. A legal battle followed with his family members, and my mom lost the majority of what was supposed to support her, the children and the family business. Eventually, she had no choice but to put our family home and property up for sale. And now, she is facing foreclosure. The process has already started and time is running out.

Someone expressed interest in buying it, so the process of selling and buying began. Mom was told to prepare to move because the process was moving fast. She even found a new house that stole her heart. We packed everything. We closed the family business. We sold over half of our belongings. And then… nothing. For a year and a half, we lived in limbo while the buyer delayed again and again. In that time, my mom’s savings were drained. Her realtor kept telling her to wait it out instead of taking other offers. So, she did. Now we’ve been living out of boxes for over a year, with no resolution.

We feel trapped, exhausted, and out of options. We are about to lose our family home to foreclosure and will have no place to go.
My mom can no longer work due to her health, and that has been the case for years, hence why my step-dad wanted her to receive all of his money, benefits, and wanted her to keep the property and run the family business. Between the constant pain, flare-ups, frequent hospitalizations, and caring full-time for her special needs son, she simply can't physically or mentally hold a job. It just isn’t possible. She has even been denied for disability numerous times which also makes no sense.

Every day is a struggle to keep food on the table, pay the bills including mortgage, afford gas for doctor appointments for herself and her special-needs son, pay for medications, and just live a simple life. It has gotten even harder knowing she is on the brink of foreclosure.

We are in crisis. And we’re asking—pleading—for your help.
Monetary donations will help with basic necessities, paying the bills, avoiding foreclosure, and getting through this time as a long-term solution is soon to occur (hopefully).

If you can give anything—even $5—it means the world. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others. We’re not giving up, but we can’t do this alone anymore.

Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for helping a mom who has given her all and deserves help. And thank you for helping a family that deserves peace.
