Hi, my name is Heather. I met George and his dog Milo while they were outside, trying to stay safe and together after experiencing a devastating loss.

George recently lost his father unexpectedly. He had been living in his father’s home and helping care for him. But after his father passed, George and Milo were left without housing—and they are now facing eviction and homelessness.

George is doing everything he can to survive while grieving, all while protecting his sweet dog, Milo—who isn’t just a pet, but his emotional support, best friend, and family.

Recently, Milo suffered a sunburn from being outside too long without shelter. It’s just one heartbreaking example of how hard things have gotten.

I knew I couldn’t ignore their situation. So I’m creating this fundraiser to help Jorge and Milo find safety, healing, and a second chance—together.
