I am Colson Leadbetter. My Eagle Scout project is to build an outdoor shelter for Delaware County Humane Society. This project will provide comfort and protection for many animals while they are outside.

The Humane Society of Delaware County is committed to making a difference in the lives of animals in need. In 2022 alone, they provided a loving home to 1780 animals, and this year, they are on track to exceed that number. However, there’s one last outdoor dog run at their facility that lacks the essential shelter their animals deserve.

That’s where you come in! I am excited to announce this special goal to raise funds for building a shelter over the Humane Society's remaining outdoor dog run. With your support, my Eagle project will provide a shaded oasis from the scorching sun, a cozy refuge from rain and snow, and an overall improved outdoor experience.
