It's been a LONG road. A bond that began 6 years ago, with a photo book, a prayer, and a bow tie, WILL finally come to an end. No more long trips, and Skype phone calls. Vasya is coming home!!
Through savings, a generous gift/payback from Uncle Sam, and a wonderful adoption grant, we have obtained and fulfilled the financial obligations of Vasya's adoption. The paperwork has been completed, the home study has begun, and Bart will make his trip very, very soon (within 2019).
The only money we need now is for Bart's trip to pick up Vasya. We believe in God's plan and know that He will provide the means, but that doesn't mean we don't have to work for it as well. Please keep us in mind should you need:
- babysitting for a night out,
- help around the house,
- help washing a car, dog, or family member, or
- someone to help collect your loose change.
We are excited that this day as come, and will keep you updated on the upcoming trip! Thank you for your help and prayers.
AS A LITTLE EXTRA INCENTIVE...
1) Bart will shave his beard for each donation made. As long as the donations keep coming in, he will be clean shaven for a while =D
2) At the suggestion of The Proclaimers ("I'm Gonna Be"), Bart promises to walk 1 mile for every $10 donated. And in case your humming the song and trying to do the math..."I would walk 500 miles (that's $5,000), and I would walk 500 more"
