Help Sheldon with his Battle with Cancer

Sheldon was diagnosed with cancer in December 2023 and has been sick for the last few months. He is fighting like hell but unfortunately the doctors have stopped his treatments. He is at home resting with his family and we wish him well in his final days

As Sheldon’s family and friends, we set up this GoFundMe to support Joanna, Caiden and Adi as they go through this difficult time now and for their future.

I have been friends with Sheldon for more than 30 years. He and his family hold a special place in my heart as I am sure they do for you as well.

To say Sheldon lights up a room when he walks in is an understatement. He always lifts up those around him. He is the kindest and most generous person that I know. If I asked him how he was doing, he was quick to turn and ask how I was and if there was something he could do for anyone in need. Whether it was advice, help with a project, an opportunity to go to the lake and cast a line, a chance for a weekend away with the kids, or a recommendation for a good bottle of wine, he has always been there for me.

Sheldon has a huge number of friends and family that want to show their support. Sheldon has good friends from high school (Etobicoke and Ottawa), his CarletonU buddies, work friends from Diageo, Promixo and Desjardins. There probably isn’t a single bar or restaurant owner in Eastern Ontario that doesn’t know him by name. Sheldon has also been involved with his community coaching basketball and flag football and is very involved in his kids’ lives.

I’d like to use this fundraiser to show Sheldon and his family that we are there for him now. If you are able, please donate.
