It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved sister, Sheila Jepkorir Chebii, who tragically passed away while at work in Sydney, Australia on 17th May 2026, under unclear circumstances.
Sheila was born on 20th October 2000 in Eldoret, Kenya, to her loving parents Samuel Chebii and Linah Chebii. She was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend whose kindness and presence deeply impacted all who knew her in both Kenya and Australia.
Her sudden passing has left the family devastated emotionally and facing significant financial strain as they navigate this painful loss from afar. The family is currently working through ongoing legal and official processes, including awaiting the Coroner’s report to help clarify the circumstances surrounding her passing.
We are humbly seeking support from friends, family, and well-wishers to help the family during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will go toward:
Legal and administrative costs related to the ongoing investigations
Funeral and memorial arrangements in Australia
Repatriation of Sheila’s body to Kenya
Family support and related expenses during this period. The Funeral Committee has appointed Maxwell Chesire as the treasurer and nominated Beneficiary of the GoFundMe Funddrive. Maxwell will be responsible for all financial expenses of this process and will transfer funds and donations received to the Family at the completion of this exercise or when directed by the Committee. The committee has also nominated the late's brother, Amos Chebii as the family member to whom the funds will be transferred to.
We kindly ask for your support through donations, prayers, and sharing this campaign. This campaign has been initiated by Elvis Kipyego Langas, one of the community leaders, as directed by the Funeral Committee.
No amount is too small, and every contribution is deeply appreciated.
Please continue to keep Sheila’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this painful journey.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
