Improve Sheila's (79) living conditions

Hi, I'm Caroline, and I recently started volunteering by visiting an elderly woman, Sheila (79) who lives alone in Pimlico. She has been renting a studio apartment by a charitable housing association for 15 years and no work or uphold has been done since then. The carpets in her apartment are almost worn down to the floorboard; in some areas, they have taped patches so she doesn't trip. Many things need to be fixed in the apartment, however, the carpet is too costly for me to cover as a volunteer and therefore I'm now seeking the good of the people to chip in so Sheila can live in an apartment that feels safe, clean, and nice.

A little about Sheila; Her husband sadly passed away in 2021 after living several years in a care home. She has no family nearby and unfortunately did not have any children. Her only network is myself and a neighbor who pops by. Sheila used to work for the Salvation Army in her day. She is sociable, positive, a good friend, and a great conversation partner. Heartbreakingly she has mentioned how sad she is to be living in the condition she currently is.

Any penny will help and will go towards a new carpet for Sheila. An update and pictures will follow if we can reach some money.
