Hi, my name is Sheena and I LOVE a challenge, especially when it challenges myself.

I am a workaholic and I love my many work avenues but I do take time for myself and switch off from my day job through running and walking! In fact this year I have set myself a personal challenge to run 500 (173 miles ticked off so far) competitive miles which I now also realise is going to be great training for our 2026 trek!

Four years ago I set up an international fundraiser and one of the best things to come out of that besides raising a lot of money for rural mental health charities was meeting the fabulous Emma who set up a charity in memory of her husband to support those with poor mental health in the agricultural community. From it's establishment, that charity has gone on to achieve incredible things including training thousands of people in mental health awareness, provided full funded counselling to over 1,000 people and reached millions of people through their extensive volunteer work over the whole of the UK.

In 2026, this amazing charity will be 10 years old and no way was Emma going to let this momentous occasion pass without doing something special which is why I have decided to join this trek with a group of people who all have their own individual reasons for taking part.

For me it will be another fantastic challenge (and something that has always been on my bucket list) but also supporting a charity that means so much to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, bring on Machu Picchu 2026!
