Shed light on brain aneurysms

Tax deductible
My story: I am a Neurovascular Neurosurgery PA and work at the Stroke & Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island. Just a little over a year ago, while on call one night, I received a phone call that my younger sister had ruptured a brain aneurysm and was going to need surgery. My sister, family and I had no family or medical history of brain aneurysms, so the news was shocking. My sister survived the aneurysm rupture and spent a few weeks in the Neuro ICU at Good Samaritan Hospital where she received excellent care.

My family and I are still in disbelief this happened and incredibly grateful to the team at the Stroke & Brain Aneurysm Center and Good Samaritan Hospital. I knew that working in the field was just not enough to shed light on this critical topic, and bringing awareness became a new personal goal of mine.

My husband Christian, my sister Kristen and our friend Randy, and I decided to run the Suffolk County Marathon in honor of our sister and attempt to raise money to donate to the Lisa Colagrassi Foundation, which sheds light on this critical issue.

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit The Lisa Colagrossi Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
