Help Us Bring Comfort, Care, and Hope to Our Mom as She Fights for Her Life

There are moments that change everything — moments when time stops and your heart feels like it’s breaking into a million pieces. For me, that moment came when I heard the words:

“Your mom has Multiple Myeloma.”

Everything around me went quiet. I couldn’t speak. All I could do was cry and pray — asking God why, and how we would get through this.

My mom is my heart. She’s my strength, my best friend, my peace. She’s the woman who loved without limits, who prayed for us when we didn’t have the strength to pray for ourselves, and who always made sure her children were okay — even when she wasn’t.

Now, she’s the one who needs us. And I’m determined to be there for her, just like she’s always been there for me.

She was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare and painful cancer that affects the blood and bones. It’s a battle that no one should have to face — but she’s facing it with grace, courage, and faith.

My family and I are preparing to move from North Carolina to Minnesota so that I can become her full-time caregiver and keep her close to the Mayo Clinic, where she’s receiving incredible, compassionate care. Staying near her doctors gives her the best chance at comfort, stability, and quality of life. But this move — emotionally and financially — has been overwhelming.

Still, love gives us strength. Every single moment with her now feels like a blessing — every smile through the pain, every “I love you” whispered through tears, every hug that says more than words ever could.

We hold on to faith because my mom always taught us that faith moves mountains. She reminds me that even in the darkest days, God’s light still shines, and His grace still covers us.

All I want is for her to be surrounded by peace, love, and comfort — to wake up each day feeling safe, cared for, and deeply loved.
